Inspiration

It took me eight years to write this book. It is filled with the raw emotions of a mother afflicted with a shattered heart. Follow me as I walk you through the heights of my moments of elations to the deep valleys of my vicissitudes, while I raised my daughter from childhood to adulthood, and then to college. You will encounter sundry escapades birthed through Layla’s unbridled freedom as she knocked on looming unexpected doors only to find a brutal untamed beast on the other side. You will see the experiences, hurts and pains met by those lives she touched, and the innocent ones caught within her whirlwind.

I will give you candid accounts of how I felt right in the heat of the battle, and when the pain became too severe, I resorted to pushing my pen and paper aside to escape the pain. However, God told me that if I completed this book, that it would be my altar of healing, and I am glad to report to you today that He kept His promise to me.
